I personally consider birthdays as a great opportunity to tell people why you love them, why are you thankful to have them in your life, to share a memory etc. It's never been only about wishes for me and I usually write long and heartwarming messages. When I started working on my videography projects I incorporated videos as a part of my message to my close friends and family on their special days. I was given an opportunity to create a video story for a birthday poem, and I've never been so excited to try a new thing - visual poetry.
The poem itself describes a unique story of close friendships and major past hardships that have been finally overcome. The poem is written in Russian and is quite personal, including the use of specific words and phrases that are almost impossible to translate. But the story does not always need a perfect narrative to be understood, right? Have you ever tried writing a letter? I believe that visual poems can be interpreted in many different ways even if they were made with a specific narrative, I hope you'll find yours.
(short and simple eng narrative only provides basic lines to back up the vision)
